What you will do in your working day

  • Work alongside and support the maintenance team with a view to becoming a semi-skilled and fully skilled craftsman.

  • You will work as part of the Technical Operations team and report to Darryl Reeve, the Technical Operations Manager
  • You will support the technical team and learn the day-to-day maintenance skills and duties required in an Acute hospital, walk in day centre and also a mental health facility.

The training you will be getting

  • Property maintenance operative Level 2 (GCSE) Apprenticeship standard
  • Apprenticeship Certificate. Graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction. 
  • Attendance at Stamford College one day a week

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Progression from an apprentice to a semi-skilled craftsman, and with continued learning progression to become a maintenance craftsman.
