JMG Porsche has a vacancy for an apprentice light vehicle technician. This place is open for new starting light vehicle apprentices (Such as school levers) & existing apprentices with other employers looking to switch. You will be performing workshop housekeeping tasks - cleaning the work area, keeping it clear of anything that should not be there, so they form habits required of a modern technician.

Normal working week is currently Monday to Friday, 8:30am until 5:30pm (Shifts TBC). Saturdays may be required once the apprentice passes the age of 18. One working day a week during term time the apprentice will be attending Bournemouth and Poole College.

What you will do in your working day
- Performing workshop housekeeping - Cleaning the work area, keeping it clear of anything that should not be there, so they form habits required of a modern technician
- On the job training - Typically 20 hours per week, on handing of tools, equipment, vehicle maintenance, vehicle repairs, workshop house keeping, updating and administration of documentation (such as job details, outcomes, observations, authorisations) customer facing training
- Performing jobs as listed under "on the job training" initially supervised and eventually unsupervised
- Reporting back to the senior technician as any job is completed
