What you will do in your working day

As an Apprentice Web Developer, you’ll need a keenness to work with and learn various cutting-edge technologies and tools across many different applications and sites. A full stack developer is expected to excel in both front-end and back-end web development, ensuring cohesive functionality and user experience throughout the entire web application. You are a self-motivated individual who can perform well under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You have the ability to work as a part of the team or on your own.

Due to the nature of an Apprenticeship role, the position would be office-based and therefore only candidates able to reasonably commute to the office will be considered.

Key Responsibilities & Skills (Training to be provided):

· Good experience and knowledge of frontend technologies: CSS, HTML, Javascript, jQuery, Bootstrap

· Good experience and knowledge of backend technologies: PHP, MySQL

· Basic understanding of SSH, Apache, Nginx, Git, Magento module development, WordPress plugin development

· The ability to build the code into CMS systems such as WordPress & Magento.

· Strong developers mindset

· Strong interpersonal, communication & timekeeping skills

· Strong finishing skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure the websites are of premium quality

About You:

We would love to speak to people with a passion for the industry and keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies. We are looking for someone who is very thorough in their workload with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work. Daily the successful applicant will be involved with building a large and diverse selection of sites. From complex eCommerce sites to smaller brochure WordPress sites. You will be reporting directly to the Technical Director. This is an ideal opportunity for a developer to move into an agency environment and progress their career with the opportunities provided within an agency.
