What you will do in your working day

Duties will include:

  • Answering the telephone and responding to customers' emails and queries
  • Sending open order reports to customers
  • Preparing customer enquiries
  • Raising purchase orders and communicating with suppliers
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Chasing suppliers for updates on purchase orders
  • Creating works orders for production
  • Maintaining organised files and records
  • Updating the MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) system with data and information
  • Assisting office staff with tasks
  • Assisting with posting on company social media pages
  • Assisting the despatch team with invoicing and shipping goods
  • Assisting the Production Manager with planning and scheduling tasks

Full training will be given.

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English and / or Maths if GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent qualifications) not already held
  • This apprenticeship is delivered in the workplace, however, you will be invited to attend a monthly workshop with other Business Admin apprentices.  The majority of these will be virtual, however, you will also be invited to attend some held at one of our campuses.
  • East Sussex College will ensure Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity training is delivered
  • East Sussex College will provide the apprenticeship framework which will include Knowledge, Skills, Behaviour and Functional Skills (if required)
