What you will do in your working day
- Set up, Program and Operate CNC Machinery.
- Read Engineering Drawings.
- Assembly of Tooling.
- Hand Finishing of Blocks.
- Ensuring work area is clean.
The training you will be getting
You will be trained in the workplace alongside your usual duties and you will be expected to attend Plymouth Engineering Skills Centre one day a week.
You will work towards achieving a Level 3 Machining Technician apprenticeship.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
You will be trained to a highly skilled engineer/toolmaker. Opportunities to progress into CAD / CAM.
