What you will do in your working day

As a member of a small Mechanical Design team reporting to the Engineering Manager/Technical Director, the role will involve helping the team to design lifting solutions to suit client’s requirements. This position offers a real opportunity to see the design process through to manufacture as Britlift design, manufacture, and test in house.

Responsibilities:

Duties will include, and training will be given, on the below:

  • Helping to design and engineer custom beams and frames to suit client lifting requirements
  • Producing a full drawing pack in 2D CAD to cover concept approval, fabrication and instructions for use
  • Helping with project management
  • Designing and producing test drawings
  • Producing 3D CAD models
  • Preparing supporting documents such as test reports, purchase orders and quality documentation
