We are currently on the lookout for an apprentice to join the team at our beautiful Kenley based salon, The Strand Designs - Styled by Natasha. We are looking for a creative, passionate and ambitious person looking to study a level 2 in hairdressing, to come and work with us. We do things a little differently, and this won’t be your average apprenticeship.

What you will do in your working day

Apprentices duties will include:

  • Welcoming clients into the salon, seating and gowning up.
  • General salon tasks to ensure the salon is a welcoming and clean environment at all times.
  • Mainly assisting/working directly with Natasha (the owner) on a 1-2-1 basis.
  • Supporting other stylist when necessary to ensure the smooth running of the salon.
  • Washing off clients/ basin work.
  • Commitment to training and development.

The training you will be getting

Apprentices will be enrolled at East Surrey College and will study via day release.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship candidates will gain the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Hairdressing Professional Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Level 2 VTCT Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing).
  • Functional Skills in English and maths if required.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Once qualified we do have chair rental available for the right candidate within the salon to start your own business on a self employed basis.
