The training you will be getting

Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals Hairdressing Standard
All apprentices will complete the core skills and knowledge (Part 1) and will choose the occupational option route for hairdressing or barbering (Part 2) Part 1 – Mandatory core skills and knowledge for hairdressing.

Apprentices without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level and apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to take the tests for this level prior to taking the End-Point- Assessment.

Training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required.
You will be required to attend Dudley College premises one day per week at our Evolve Campus, Dudley, to work towards your Apprenticeship Standard Qualification.

An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through you course. Continual assessments, coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week.

At the end of your training, you will sit an exam and submit course work as part of your assessment, and you will receive a Level 2 Hairdressing qualification.

Things to consider

This apprenticeship involves working Saturdays. Academic commitment. This salon wishes to recruit an apprentice from August/September time so school leavers are welcome to apply. There is the possibility of Saturday work prior to the start of the apprenticeship.
