What you will do in your working day
Garden maintenance to include tasks such as:
- Mowing
- Strimming
- Weeding
- Hedge trimming
- Pruning
- Garden clearance
- Would also get involved with other aspects of gardens when experience and knowledge increase.
The training you will be getting
You will be working towards a Horticulture & Landscape Operative Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2 which includes:
- Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
- Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Pesticides
- Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticide Using Hand Held Equipment.
- Functional skills level 2 in English and maths is also required for applicants with less than a grade 4/C.
- Training will be provided by Bicton College.
- You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and your employer.
