What you will do in your working day

Garden maintenance to include tasks such as:

  • Mowing
  • Strimming
  • Weeding
  • Hedge trimming
  • Pruning
  • Garden clearance
  • Would also get involved with other aspects of gardens when experience and knowledge increase.

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards a Horticulture & Landscape Operative Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2 which includes:

  • Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work 
  • Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Pesticides
  • Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticide Using Hand Held Equipment. 
  • Functional skills level 2 in English and maths is also required for applicants with less than a grade 4/C.
  • Training will be provided by Bicton College.
  • You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and your employer.

The apprenticeship training will begin at college from September 2024, however we will be looking to the applicant to working with us during April 2024.
