What you will do in your working day

  • Work towards becoming a key person
  • Support and learn from qualified practitioners to create an enriched environment to support the children’s learning
  • Become familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum
  • Support the staff to ensure the preschool is clean and tidy whilst promoting good health and hygiene for all children
  • Ensure you become fully aware of safeguarding requirements and follow the policies and procedures of the setting
  • Ensure children are well cared for and happy at all times
  • Work towards becoming a key person

The training you will be getting

  • Mandatory Qualifications (e.g. First Aid): Paediatric First Aid
  • Structure of college delivery (e.g. day or block release): Day release – Tuesday St Austell, Wednesday Camborne
  • Functional Skills in English and maths if required

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

There is a progression route available and many roles an apprentice can undertake when qualified (Seniors, SENDCO roles, room leaders etc).

About the employer
