What you will do in your working day

Providing comprehensive HR administration and day to day HR support to the Ellesmere Port Human Resources team, you will be involved with Employee Resourcing, Payroll, Organisational Development, HR Operations and Communications. You will gain an understanding of how these key processes fit into a large organisation. You will develop many skills and will be given an opportunity to use their initiative and put forward new ideas.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting recruitment process
  • Linking with local educational establishments to support Careers Fairs and Schools Interface
  • Supporting Human Resources and Communications with day to day running
  • Support Organisational Development process with all training activities and needs

The training you will be getting

We have partnered with Cheshire South and West to offer a course which blends the best aspects of formal learning, including off the job learning with work-based activity.

The candidate will follow a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full HR Support standard for level 3. Monthly assessment visits will take place to support the apprentice to compile the portfolio of evidence throughout the duration of the apprenticeship.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Successful candidates of the Level 3 apprenticeship may be able to progress to the Level 5 Business Partner apprenticeship, following a period of gaining experience and knowledge within the organisation.

Things to consider

Applicants with 5 GCSE’s Grade C/4 or above including Maths & English are desirable. The plant is not on a bus route, so you will require your own transport. This is a manufacturing/shop floor based industry.
