What you will do in your working day
- How to carry out vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance using manufacturers specifications or approved schedules, using vehicle specific data and meeting legal requirements
- Assist with MOT
- Fundamentals of specific vehicle systems including steering & suspension, braking systems, battery & charging systems, exhaust systems.
The training you will be getting
The candidate will follow a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full Level 2 Standard in Auto Technician This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West. If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A-D (9-3) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 1 Functional Skill in the relevant subject
