You'll learn how to coordinate site-based construction projects, carry out risk assessments, liaise with key figures and more in our specialised roofing department.

What you will do in your working day
The main duties and tasks of a Site Management Apprentice are:
- Communication with project team, clients, users
- Maintaining Site Records: Daily site diaries
- RFI/CVI
- Toolbox talks as necessary
- Materials logs and all other records as required
- Plan and manage quality and compliance; ensure that items of work are per-snagged prior to client inspections; ensure each element of work has a signed handover form
- Ensure all works are carried out to pre-issued Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Report on supply chain performance
- Manage PPE compliance and issues, including I.D. procedures
- Plan and manage statutory mandatory and informational signage, including the Breyer Group Plc standard notice board
- Commit to undertaking necessary external and internal training courses
- Promote company image/brand including wearing appropriate dress, uniform, I.D, PPE
- Attend meetings, prestart, progress, sub-contractor
- Plan and manage subcontractor competence compliance, including checking certification
- Check and monitor compliance with agreed specifications
- Report and record complaints and queries and plan for closure/solutions
- Maintain office files in accordance with Breyer Group Plc's standard filing structure
- Be responsible for company vehicles, property and equipment
- Contributing to self-development in consultation with line manager
- Ensuring all activity is carried out in accordance with the Company’s
- Business Procedures and Quality Assurance Procedures – recommending improvements as appropriate
- Ensuring all day-to-day activities comply with the Company Health and Safety Policy and best practice
- Similarly, to comply with the Company’s Environmental Standards, ensuring all activities are carried out within Company Policies and Procedures

- Carrying out any other duties as may be necessary from time to time to meet business needs
The training you will be getting
- The qualification you would be working to achieve is being a Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor (Standard)
- Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
- This training will include a paid study day each week, via remote learning or attending college
- You will also possibly have assessments done on-site and in the college as needed
- You will be responsible for liaising with your training provider and site manager to arrange as needed
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Once qualified, the right candidate may be able to secure a full-time role within the industry
- Typical job titles can include Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager
- At the end of this apprenticeship, you would be capable of working as a qualified Assistant Site Manager with the likely progression into a degree qualification partnered with further experience to become a Site Manager
- You will be eligible for the CSCS Supervisor (Gold) Card on completion of this apprenticeship
