  • A&P Tyne is recruiting welding apprentices to join their team in September.
  • The apprentices will learn and develop skills within welding activities.
  • Within the ship building and repair sector, the role will include tasks such as joining materials such as plates, large and small bore pipes and different material types such as carbon steel and stainless steel.
  • The role will allow the apprentices to learn and develop skills within welding activities.

  • The ability to take on board information in a variety of formats and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and team leaders.

Desired qualifications

  • The candidate must have at least 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at Grade C / Grade 4 or above including maths & English Language.
  • Please note that Level 2 Adult Literacy and Level 2 Adult Numeracy will not be accepted. This is due to certificate awarding body requirements.
