If so, this could be the role for you! We are looking to recruit someone who is wanting to learn and earn at the same time whilst being trained and developed to ultimately become the manager of our highly reviewed store in Nottingham.. 

We will invest in you and get you to management level, so we are looking for someone who is driven and ambitious. 

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Answering the phones
  • Welcoming and greeting customers
  • Advising and assisting customers
  • Ordering stock and assisting with store deliveries
  • Keep up to date with product information (new & old)
  • Equipment handling - this involves carrying out heavy lifting of electronic equipment and/or products as required
  • Flexible and be available to work within our sister store at short notice, e.g. sickness/holiday cover
  • Be self-sufficient in travelling to and from work
  • Open and close the store
  • Undertake online training and attend training at designated training centres in the UK and possibly abroad
  • Self-improvement via literature and online learning
  • Follow all companies’ policies and procedures

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Be able to communication with people at all levels in writing and verbally
  • Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Basic admin, IT, telephone and visual communications skills, including interacting on virtual communications
  • Proficient in English and maths
  • Understanding of consumer electronics would be of benefit

Desired qualifications

GCSE or equivalent at A-C/8-4 in maths & English.

Future prospects

We have a progression plan in place to train you up to management level. Once you have completed your apprenticeship we will continue to invest in your development and give you all the support you need to get there. Ultimately, we want you to be the store manager.

We are paying above National Apprenticeship Wage and will continue to increase this through probation salary reviews. Hard work will be rewarded.

Things to consider

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week)
