We are looking for an individual who is well disciplined, motivated, ambitious and is confident with talking to people both face to face and over the telephone.  You will need an outgoing, friendly manner, capable of offering good customer service and excellent communication skills as well as demonstrating a keen attention to detail.  You will be working as part of a small team with plenty of opportunity for growth and further development.

You job role will be varied but will include;

  • All aspects of sales order processing
  • Setting up of new customer accounts, liaise with customers to ensure correct information is processed
  • Working directly with suppliers and customers setting up new products and maintaining accurate data sheets
  • Invoicing customers once goods have been delivered and managing any queries raised
  • Building relationships with new customers over the phone, dealing with enquiries and all aspects of customer service as required
  • Follow up communication with customers to get feedback on their experience
  • Working effectively as part of a sales team
  • Credit control follow ups with customers
  • To provide and effective and high quality service at all times

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Good customer service skills - happy in a customer driven environment
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word and Excel
  • Confident telephone manner

  • A friendly, hard working individual who is happy working as part of a team
  • A genuine interest in own development and progression
  • Polite and courteous and able to use own initiative
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy sales environment
  • Able to prioritise all work-based tasks 

Desired qualifications

GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English.

A good/recognised ICT qualification (or equivalent).

Things to consider

Check travel arrangement before application to ensure you can get to company location.

Part of the qualification will require Off The Job training at our training centre based in Plymouth.  These sessions are currently delivered remotely but as Covid precautions are relaxed regular College attendance will be required as part of the qualification requirements.
