Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Support the Data & Analytics Manager generating and analysing data and trend analysis across a selection of data and information sets to provide a broad range of insights
  • Providing reporting and analysis of information on specific topics as requested by the D&A Manager
  • Maintains the data structure and standards for EMCOR systems in conjunction with the application/data owners, or subject matters ie Health and Safety, Asset Management and Finance
  • Interrogate and identify opportunities that can improve the efficiency of business processes
  • Design and development of dashboards and associated reporting using visualisation tools such as Power BI and Smartsheet
  • Provides data cleansing and data management services, on an approved and requested basis
  • Attend off-the-job training (e.g., college, technical training provider) as part of your apprenticeship programme.
  • Support the company’s goals by carrying out any other reasonable tasks as requested by the line manager.

What you'll learn

  • implement the stages of the data analysis lifecycle

  • identify and escalate quality risks in data analysis with suggested mitigation or resolutions as appropriate
  • undertake customer requirements analysis and implement findings in data analytics planning and outputs

  • apply organizational architecture requirements to data analysis activities
  • apply statistical methodologies to data analysis tasks
  • apply predictive analytics in the collation and use of data
  • collaborate and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders using appropriate styles and behaviours to suit the audience
  • use a range of analytical techniques such as data mining, time series forecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends and patterns in data
  • collate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and convert into infographics, reports, tables, dashboards and graphs

Training schedule

The apprenticeship typically takes approximately 2 years to complete and is designed to equip apprentices with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to become competent data analysts. It includes both on-the-job training and off-the-job study with a training provider.

The apprenticeship is delivered through a blend of online learning and interactive workshops with our training provider, taking place approximately two days per month.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English (grade C/4 or above.)
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Math (grade C/4 or above.)

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to obtain National Security Clearance. Therefore, we can only accept British Citizens for this position
