Summary

We’re looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an IT Software Support Apprentice. The role involves first-line support, answering calls, assisting clients, and learning our software to provide training and configuration support. An understanding of IT systems and software and the ability to problem-solve required.

Wage

£11,778 to £19,047.60, depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first line of support, answering calls and responding to client queries in clear, professional English.
  • Assist in providing technical and software support to clients and internal users.
  • Learn and understand our software products in depth to provide effective user training and support.
  • Create and manage system configurations as part of client setup and ongoing maintenance.
  • Train users on how to use the software effectively and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Log, track, and resolve support requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the development and support teams to improve user experience and system performance.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of IT systems, software, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak and write in fluent, professional English.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to grasp new technologies and workflows quickly.
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.

  • Apply continuous professional development CPD to support their own learning, business needs and technical developments.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade (Grade A-C or 4-9))
  • Maths (grade (Grade A-C or 4-9))
