Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils in the reception class or KS2, with a particular focus on those with special educational needs and disabilities
- Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion
- Provide support to pupils 1:1, or in groups, to help them access the curriculum, participate in learning, and experience a sense of achievement
- Offer interventions with a group of targeted children to achieve their learning potential
- Support Forest School sessions
- Assist with midday supervision duties, ensuring a safe and positive environment for our pupils during their lunch break

- Attend regular reviews with your training provider and supervisor

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a training organisation. At least 348 of your working hours will be spent training or studying towards your apprenticeship.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 9-4)
- Mathematics (grade 9-4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
