Summary
We have an opportunity for a self-starting motivated apprentice who is keen to learn and find their place in a local growing business. Platinum Stairlifts is a successful growing business manufacturing stairlifts. With the recent success of 6 apprentices in the organisation we are keen to offer the right person an opportunity to join us.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assist with Maintenance & Facilities team.
- Working with team leaders and managers.
- Maintaining of weld booths, prep bays, test bays and airline repairs as required.
- Cleaning of weld, prep and test bays.
- Cleaning & repairing of weld sets, hand tools, ducting and lights.
- Repair and replace air lines in bays.
- Repair and replace welder torches in bays.
Repair and replace hand tools in bays. - Assist in day-to-day reactive work/breakdowns.
- Help maintaining the PPM schedule on machinery.
- Assist with the upkeep of building and grounds.
Assist maintenance in machinery repairs. - Learning new skills and techniques on mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Assist in different aspects of joinery, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work.
- Assist contractors on site.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4/C)
- Mathematics (grade 4/C)
