Summary

We are currently looking for a Production Operative to join our team at the Felling Site. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will need to be hardworking and motivated with good communication skills.

x1 Position - Day Shift - Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm - £12.21ph. x1 Position - Night Shift - Tuesday - Friday or Monday - Thursday - 6pm - 5am £12.21 plus a £1.50 shift allowance.

What you'll do at work

The Dalziel group serves the meat processing and retail butchery industry from strategically located distribution sites throughout the United Kingdom. Our product range encompasses meat seasoning
blends and ingredients for food processors, frozen and chilled meat, a full range of butcher’s supplies,crumb and battering systems, plastic casings for cooked meat applications and industrial food machinery.

  • Identify and resolve issues. Report issues.
  • Apply basic continuous improvement techniques.
  • Apply fault-finding and problem-solving techniques to common problems.
  • Collect and interpret information – text and data.
  • Record information - paper based or electronic.
  • Use information technology.
  • Follow work instructions - verbal or written.
  • Communicate with colleagues - verbal and non-verbal.

Training schedule

  • Your apprenticeship training will be a fully work-based learning programme across 12 months
  • Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will achieve a level 2 qualification in Food and Drink Process Operator

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
