Swarm is supporting Yonder Consulting in their search for two Market Research Apprentices. This role offers an excellent opportunity to launch your career in market research within a supportive and inclusive team.

Hours
Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm. It is required to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The rest of the week, you have the opportunity to work from home.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

As a Market Research Apprentice, you will support and work alongside Yonder’s  expert Insight specialists on a variety of client projects.

Your focus will be providing support on data delivery, reporting and analysis to the end client and will gain a full understanding of your role in the project lifecycle, from designing a research programme that answers a client’s objectives to delivering the final presentation or workshop.

Duties will include:

  • Support the team with quantitative and qualitative research projects, including survey testing and data quality checks
  • Conduct desk research on clients to inform proposals, marketing, and business developmentAssist in designing research studies, organising datasets, and analysing findings
  • Help set up and support qualitative fieldwork (e.g., interviews, focus groups), including liaising with recruitment partners and note-taking.
  • Contribute to reporting by charting insights and populating presentations
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients, managing priorities to ensure deadlines are met

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Liaise with and manage, clients, stakeholders, internal teams and external suppliers to deliver required outcomes.
  • Undertake data collection, data analysis, data presentation and data storage including analysis and validation of the outputs from primary or secondary research data sources.
  • Interpret, prepare and communicate research findings such as presentations, reports, and workshops.
  • Make evidence-based recommendations from research results.
  • Use communications skills and techniques such as negotiation, collaboration, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Interpret research objectives and translate into research design and implementation.
  • Use digital and IT software packages relevant to the role.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation such as SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions).
  • Select and use appropriate research design techniques.
  • Evaluate data and research findings to derive insights to support improvements to future research projects.

Training schedule

  • Training will be with Swarm Training, a national apprenticeship provider in the UK
  • The successful candidate will work towards a Level 4 Market Research qualification, which takes 15-18 months to complete
  • The apprentice must complete a minimum of 6 hours per week during working hours, with monthly training sessions conducted by a tutor, with tasks assigned to be completed during those hours

Requirements

Essential qualifications

A Level in:

Minimum of any three A-Level subjects (grade C or above)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

After this apprenticeship
