Summary

The apprentice will gain hands-on experience in both production assembly and warehouse/logistics support. They will work alongside experienced team members, learning the skills needed to build high-quality products, follow quality procedures, and support the movement of goods in and out of the business. Full training and mentoring will be provided.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Warehouse & Logistics Support

  • The apprentice will help with receiving goods, preparing customer orders, and assisting with dispatch.
  • They will learn to safely operate equipment such as forklifts (training and certification provided if required).
  • They will support stock checks and learn how to keep records accurate using warehouse systems (e.g., SAP).
  • The apprentice will assist with preparing shipping paperwork and learn the basics of handling dangerous goods.
  • They will take part in managing customer returns and organising warehouse documentation.

  • Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
  • Communicate in writing with others, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers.
  • Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade Pass)
  • Maths (grade Pass)
