Summary
Q Finance are seeking a proactive Compliance Assistant to support our Head of Compliance in ensuring that our business and appointed representatives meet all regulatory obligations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to develop a career in compliance within the motor trade and financial services sector.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assist the Head of Compliance in managing all FCA-related queries from internal teams and external motor dealers.
- Support dealers with applications and queries regarding FCA permissions.
- Monitor day-to-day compliance across the organisation and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Assist with the logging, investigation, and resolution of customer complaints in line with FCA guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, and reports.
- Help ensure policies, procedures, and documentation remain up to date and fit for purpose.
- Contribute to staff training initiatives and the promotion of a strong compliance culture.

- Planning & prioritising: Consistently adheres to systems & processes using proficient IT skills, including risk, regulatory and governance requirements
Training schedule
You will attend either face to face or online 1 day per week with our Training Provider, /skills North East.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade Grade 4/C or higher)
- Mathematics (grade Grade 4/C or higher)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
