Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Multi-Channel Marketer Apprentice to join our dynamic marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in digital and traditional marketing, gaining hands-on experience across various channels while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across email, social media, content, web, and events
  • Help create engaging content tailored to different platforms (e.g., blogs, email newsletters, social posts, product and service collateral)
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and CRM systems
  • Support the team with SEO, website updates, and campaign testing
  • Assist in managing social media accounts and scheduling content using tools like Hootsuite or Buffer
  • Help maintain and segment email marketing lists and support campaign deployment via platforms such as Active Campaign or Zoho
  • Attend internal and external marketing events, training sessions, and team meetings
  • Assist with sourcing and managing merchandise  
  • Stay up to date with digital and offline marketing trends and best practices

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade A*-C/ 9-4)
  • Maths (grade A*-C/ 9-4)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements

A keen interest in marketing, especially digital marketing. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Creative mindset with an eye for detail and design. Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital tools. Eagerness to learn and develop new skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions Desirable (But Not Essential): Familiarity with tools like Canva, Google Analytics, or WordPress. Basic understanding of email marketing or SEO. Experience using social media for business or promotional purposes.
