Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician Apprentice to join our Quality team at Cicor Hartlepool’s Printed Circuit Board Assembly manufacturing site. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in quality control and assurance within an electronics manufacturing environment.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Support incoming inspection of components and raw materials for conformance to specifications.
- Document quality control activities and inspection results accurately.
- Help investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
- Assist in maintaining and updating quality documentation, including inspection procedures and work instructions.
- Learn and apply IPC-A-610 and other relevant quality standards in PCBA manufacturing.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Support with Diagnosing faults, to return parts to the customer specification.
- Assist in the inspection and testing of PCBA products.
- Support with onsite audits.

Training schedule
Training will be provided with Hartlepool College of Further Education and will be on a day-release basis.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Mathematics (grade 4)
- Science (Physics / Chemistry) (grade 4)
