Summary

If you would like to become part of a team that works together and constantly strives to improve, then this is a great opportunity for you. You will be expected to help build and install pods/structures/exhibition stands across the UK. This will involve some workshop assembly duties at the workplace as well as onsite deployment across the country.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Learning and working with site team at different location
  • Picking and preparing equipment needed on site
  • Loading/unloading vehicles (forklift training given age dependant)
  • Painting and cleaning equipment needed on site
  • Assembling equipment and undertaking repairs needed
  • Workshop/yard organisation and tidiness

  • Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
  • Communicate in writing with others, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers.
  • Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship Standard:

  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required

Desirable qualifications

GCSE in:

Mathematics & English (grade 9-4 (A*-C))

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements

You will be expected to work all over the UK (Age dependant) so some travel will be involved. As well as some outdoor work but very little in the winter.
