Holderness Health is looking for a motivated Digital and IT Support Apprentice to join their practice in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on IT skills while supporting the essential digital systems that keep their healthcare services running smoothly.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Setting up new users with the right applications and permissions
- Updating and managing practice email distribution lists
- Liaising with IT support services to resolve system issues, access problems, and software updates
- Learning and supporting their clinical software (SystmOne), including helping staff use it effectively
- Investigating and resolving everyday IT and telephony issues (computers, printers, phones)
- Reporting significant IT events to the Head of Finance and Information
- Supporting Smartcard provision and RBAC role allocations
- Assisting with IT inductions for new staff (logins, applications, data security protocols)
- Helping install new IT hardware and software
- Attending SystmOne (S1) and N3i user forums to expand your knowledge

- operate digital information systems, for example• Management- Finance Human Resources• Bespoke departmental or organisational systems or databases
- communicate effectively through a variety of different channels using terminology appropriate to the audience
- use digital resources to extend own knowledge and skills relevant to their role
- risk assess the organisational impact of decisions that they take
- use digital systems to identify productivity and performance improvements
- use digital technologies to operate effectively as part of a team, and with other stakeholders, enabling sharing of information and best practice
- maintain system security in line with organisational policies.
- support digital operations or digital change and transformation activities.
- investigate application problems and enable resolution to maintain productivity and improve quality of service.
- coach and guide stakeholders to develop their applications skills to use digital systems effectively.
- monitor data to analyse systems use and provide insights to recommend use or applications developments.

Training schedule
Advanced Level Apprenticeship in IT Digital Support Technician consisting of:
- Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT Digital Support Technician
- Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics (if applicable)
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English (if applicable)
You will be required to attend a half-day session at the Training Centre per week where you will work towards any functional skills (where needed) that are required, alongside enhancing your IT knowledge and capabilities. Additional off the job training will also be required as part of the Apprenticeship.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 5)
- maths (grade 5)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
