Summary
To provide a shared HR administration service to the business entity to ensure that the employee lifecycle is managed efficiently and in accordance with relevant legislation. The job holder will also be responsible for some of the facilities management of the company Head Office plus administration duties for other departments.

What you'll do at work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Ensure that all vacancies are administered appropriately
including authorisation to recruit, advertising and relevant
tracking and monitoring. - Creation of formal offers of employment for prospective
employees and onboarding administration via Resourcelink,
ensuring appropriate monitoring of progress during the
onboarding period.
- Ensure that all vacancies are administered appropriately
- New Employees:
- Carrying out all relevant administration to ensure new
employees are able to access and use tools and systems to
support their induction including YeLP, EAP, MyBunzl
Benefits. - Notification to third party and internal stakeholders of new
employee details to ensure relevant due diligence including
new starter occupational health questionnaires, IT access,
references and driving licence monitoring. - Manage the administration of probationary periods in
partnership with line managers to ensure relevant reviews
and decisions on permanent employment are made and
communicated.
- Carrying out all relevant administration to ensure new
- Employee Administration:
- Administration of all changes to employee terms and
conditions or circumstances to include promotions,
demotions and internal transfers. - Administration associated with employee relations matters
including disciplinary, grievance and appeal meetings and
recording on Resourcelink. - Generation and distribution of business objects reports to
line managers and members of the HR team to inform and
support business decisions. - Administration support related to monthly payroll routines
including cross reference of absence documentation,
overtime requests and authorisation, and P45 distribution. - Administration support in relation to family friendly policies
including maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave. - Ensuring that all unplanned absence is supported by relevant
documentation including Fit Notes and Return to Work
Interview forms. - Ensure that employees celebrating long service milestones
or values-based recognition receive the relevant awards in
liaison with the line manager. - Provide first line assistance to line managers with queries
related to Resourcelink including account unlocking and
functionality.
Leavers: - Administration of leavers’ details to ensure dates and
reasons for leaving are recorded on Resourcelink. - Liaison with third parties to enable ongoing administration
of benefits and entitlements including Sharesave, pensions,
private healthcare and cycle to work. - Liaison with internal stakeholders to enable them to carry
out the leaver processes associated with company cars and
IT access. - Issuing standard references on request for ex-employees.
