Summary

An exciting opportunity to support the day to day running of Construction projects whilst gaining valuable experience and formal training. Working under the supervision of the experienced site manager, to help co-ordinate trades.

Wage

£14,722.50 to £23,809.50, depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Assisting with planning, organisation and supervision of on-site activities
  • Gaining knowledge of construction processes, building regulations and site management practices
  • Monitoring project progress, reporting issues and maintaining site records
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are kept and met and assist with quality control

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
  • Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
  • Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
  • Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
  • Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
  • Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
  • Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.

  • Day release delivery at ARU's Peterborough campus

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

English and Maths (grade C/4)

Desirable qualifications

A Level in:

Any (grade 104 UCAS Points)

BTEC in:

Any (grade 104 UCAS Points)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
