Summary

As an IT Solutions Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in providing first-line support to our clients as well as getting involved in working with and deploying AI for various functions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced IT environment and develop your skills in various areas of IT support.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Client Interaction: Handle incoming client calls and provide exceptional customer service
  • First-Line Support: Assist with troubleshooting and resolving basic IT issues, including software and hardware problems
  • Hardware Deployment: Assist with deploying and updating client hardware
  • AI and Business Central Tasks: Support tasks related to AI implementations and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions and support activities
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior staff to escalate and resolve complex issues

What you'll learn

  • Support multiple contemporary or legacy solutions to required levels of service.
  • Apply organisational policies and legislation in relation to security requirements, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Communicate using a variety of tools and approaches, adapting language for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Apply continuous professional development CPD to support their own learning, business needs and technical developments.

Training schedule

IT Solutions Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation
  • At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4/C)
  • Maths (grade 4/C)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
