Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice looking to start their plumbing career. The training will include fitting domestic water, heating and drainage systems and you will be involved on main new build sites as part of a subcontracting team installing new heating systems and pipework before fault finding and repair, ready for inspection.

What you'll do at work
This is an excellent opportunity to begin your Level 3 Plumbing Apprenticeship working on placement with an establishes Mechanical Services company with 50 years experienced in the trade.
The purpose of this role is to undertake basic plumbing and general labour duties to support qualified plumbers on site. Typically their work involves new build residential works on houses and flats for main contractors including:
- 1st fix hot and cold pipework
- Above-ground drainage
- 1st fix ventilation ductwork
- 2nd fix boilers, cylinders, radiators & sanitaryware
- Testing and commissioning of all services
- Carrying out relevant trade supporting duties on works as requested to client specifications and the host company's standards
- Working to allocate times and schedules for the project
- Working as part of a team and using materials safely
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment as directed
- Following health & safety policy and procedures, including the wearing of personal protective equipment when necessary
- Undertaking health & safety training as required
- Cutting, bending and joining fittings and pipes
- Installing water, heating and drainage systems
- Installing gas, central heating and radiators
- Finding and fixing faults - snagging

Training schedule
The apprentice will work towards a level 3 Plumbing & Domestic Heating qualification and will attend college one day a week to receive formal off-the-job training.

Other requirements
You must be prepared to work outdoors and in all weathers as well as working on a main building site. A CSCS card will be required- assistance will be given in achieving this. Passing of a colour blind test will be needed due to nature of work
