Summary
Ensuring smooth and efficient running of the design function across the business to include progressing bathroom projects using our CAD system, supporting our digital marketing and managing physical displays. We are looking for an ambitious self starter used to managing your own workloads to work as part of a small but efficient team.

Starting salary will be based on the initial skills an apprentice can bring to the role. Salary reviews will be subject to skills acquired in the role, as part of our company wide performance review process.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
1. To become superuser of our design software ArtiCAD.
2. Conduct showroom appointments to assist customers in the design process, version quotations to reflect changes made.
3. Following up with customers to progress projects and gain feedback.
4. Organise & maintain the showroom to maximise customer experience (maintain high visual standards) & working efficiencies.
5. Providing cover on phones and Showroom Admin role when necessary.
6. Assist in design & production of marketing content - specifically technical, design and site photography.
7. Maintaining a safe, secure, clean, tidy and healthy environment and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
8. Contributing to and driving the team effort and, being presentable whilst representing our brand - raising any concerns of workmanship with co-workers and managing partner as required.
9. Being polite and professional at all times, maintaining excellent timekeeping and attendance records with a flexible approach to new projects and tasks supporting the business needs.
10. Be proactive in identifying process improvements throughout the business.

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Work safely at all times, completing health and safety records and reports
- Plan, organise and manage furniture design and/or installation projects
- Maintain fitted furniture sales, design and installation records required
- Record any measurements of components, sub-assemblies, products, models, equipment, layouts or facilities for example kitchen units, wardrobes, desking
- Create suitable fitted furniture designs and concepts for furniture to be installed at relevant domestic or commercial premises
- Create fitted furniture designs using scale drawings or CAD (computer aided design)
- Select appropriate material options, products and components for the fitted furniture designs to meet customer requirements
- Present fitted furniture designs to customers for example kitchens, bedrooms or bathrooms
- Produce visuals that clearly demonstrate how fitted furniture designs meets the strength, aesthetics, cost and other relevant requirements of the customer brief
- Survey locations accurately for fitted furniture installation and designs including taking measurements and other relevant data of locations
- Produce representational images which records appropriate and accurate measurements of locations for the placement of furniture components
- Determine and record site conditions for example location and identification of the existing utilities and services
- Use quoting software systems to cost and price fitted furniture designs and provide and manage quotes to customers
- Maintain the fitted furniture showrooms to acceptable standards and mirror relevant design trends
- Deliver on sales targets and enhance opportunities for further growth for examples agree next stage by listening to the customer’s requirements and vision
- Establish and maintain communications with relevant customers for example ongoing customer service and care provided
- Check fitted furniture products and services are prepared, delivered and installed to customers satisfaction
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Apply effective communication techniques at all levels including written and verbal communication skills
- Deliver excellent customer service for example going beyond what the customer expects
- Realise and maintain customer expectations

Training schedule
Your training will take place online and you will be guided by a tutor visiting you monthly.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- Any other 5 subjects (grade 5+)
- English (grade 5)
- Maths (grade 5)
Desirable qualifications
A Level in:

passing a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. previous office, retail or customer services experience. independently mobile, since site visits will be required to quote appointments and installations in progress across Bucks.
