Please note we are based in Barling, Little Wakering near Southend on Sea, Essex SS3 0LN Therefore, we recommend that you are in a good commuting distance, can drive or have a reliable alternative mode of transport. The role of a childcare professional is very rewarding and everyday is different. The role is tiring, and the role of the practitioner is more than just playing with children. We are role models, we can’t have any inhibitions, we sing and dance and have fun. We are sneezed on, noses are wiped on us, children don’t understand personal space, we change nappies frequently. We deal with toileting accidents (we need strong stomachs) and spare clothes are occasionally needed. We spend time outside in all weathers, we sing in the rain and jump in puddles, make snow angels.
