Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Respond to helpdesk queries using ticketing systems.
- Diagnose and resolve digital issues for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain professional communication and represent the organisation's digital brand
- Support team productivity by promoting effective use of Microsoft 365 and Copilot
- Help users manage and collaborate on digital files, data, and templates
- Provide guidance on using digital tools across business functions.
- Assist in the support, integration and documentation of SaaS and applications
- Contribute to sustainability and transformation initiatives using digital tools
- Help ensure secure data storage, backup, and compliance with handling procedures
- Support risk mitigation related to data loss and assist with system optimisation
- Use data to help inform decisions and improve business performance
- Deliver basic training and digital tool coaching to colleagues and stakeholders
- Promote continuous learning and support digital upskilling across departments
- Advocate for AI literacy by helping teams adopt and use generative AI tools
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and contribute to innovation initiatives

- Collect, format and save datasets.
- Summarise and explain gathered data.
- Blend data sets from multiple sources and present in format appropriate to the task.
- Manipulate and link different data sets as required.
- Use tools and techniques to identify trends and patterns in data.
- Apply basic statistical methods and algorithms to identify trends and patterns in data.
- Apply cross checking techniques for identifying faults and data results for data project requirements.
- Audit data results.
- Demonstrate the different ways of communicating meaning from data in line with audience requirements.
- Produce clear and consistent technical documentation using standard organisational templates.
- Store, manage and distribute in compliance with data security standards and legislation.
- Explain data and results to different audiences in a way that aids understanding.
- Review own development needs.
- Keep up to date with developments in technologies, trends and innovation using a range of sources.
- Clean data i.e. remove duplicates, typos, duplicate entries, out of date data, parse data (e.g. format telephone numbers according to a national standard) and test and assess confidence in the data and its integrity.
- Operate as part of a multi-functional team.
- Prioritise within the context of a project.

This programme brings together AI, Microsoft Copilot and broader digital skills to provide support and advice to users across a wide range of business software and Generative AI applications, enhancing digital transformation and increasing AI literacy across your organisation.

The AI & Digital Support programme integrates live and online workshops with self-paced learning, employing a guided discovery approach for individual learner contexts.
Learners are assigned a Digital Learning Consultant (DLC) for personalised coaching and support. These specialists ensure their successful progress, well-being, and readiness for assessments.
Apprentices will learn to use a variety of tools and technologies, including:
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Copilot
- SaaS (Software as a Service) applications
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- 3 of any subject (grade 4+ (A* - C))
- Maths & English (grade 3+ (D or above).)
