Supporting the Engineering and production team in the day-to-day operations by carrying out basic engineering tasks. The apprenticeship will provide hands-on training in a manufacturing and workshop environment alongside structured learning through Weston College, working towards a Level 2 Engineering Operative qualification .

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assist with fabrication and assembly of trailer frames, panels and structures using hand and power tools
- Learn to install internal fixtures and fittings including counters,sinks , gas and electrical systems under supervision
- Support the cutting, drilling and fitting of materials such as metal sheeting, wood and insulation
- Prepare materials and work areas according to production schedules
- Following Engineering drawings , layout plans and verbal instructions accurately
- Carry out quality checks and report defects or issues to team leads

Your training plan
- You will be pursuing a Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard as Engineering Operative, through Weston College
- As part of this program, you will attend Weston College as instructed, for workshops
- An assessor will conduct on-site observations to evaluate your progress, as well as supporting you in college throughout your apprenticeship
- At the conclusion of your programme, your qualification will be assessed through an Apprenticeship Assessment
