Summary
Jenks & Cattell Engineering’s apprenticeship programme is being expanded this year because here, we recognise the importance of developing young adult’s skills and providing a training platform to upskill the next generation of engineers and technicians.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assist in service & repair of press tools and robot welding fixtures
- Work under the supervision of highly skilled toolmakers to learn to safely operate lathes, milling machines, radial drillers & surface grinders
- Use precision measuring instruments like micrometre’s gauges and CMM machines
- Implement tooling improvements
- Complete tool reports and ordering of spare parts
- Interface with new production tooling manager on new tooling projects
- Comply with the quality and environment standards procedures and instructions
