Summary
This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader. The role will be supporting the Commercial department with the day-to-day development, implementation, maintenance and renewal of supply chain agreements and contracts along with day-to-day supply chain management. Hybrid working (after qualifying period).

What you'll do at work
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to develop their knowledge of commercial contracts and agreements and the opportunity for the right candidate to progress their career into procurement, leading to a recognised qualification.
Duties will include:
- Assisting in supply chain and contractor management
- Supporting members of the team in the day-to-day management of subcontractors
- Ensure deadlines are actively managed and progress is reported as required
- Order processing
- Organising and monitoring of stat compliance for office works & repairs
- Monitor and update Company policies and procedures as required
- Provide general administrative duties as required
- Liaise with the Finance department regarding supplier payments and queries
- Assisting sites with supplier queries and orders
- Be active in tendering processes and formulating documentation
- Provide support and data for reports
- General Office duties as required

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
- Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
- Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms. Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively. Demonstrates agility and confidence in communications, carrying authority appropriately. Understands and applies social media solutions appropriately. Answers questions from inside and outside of the organisation, representing the organisation or department.
- Completes tasks to a high standard. Demonstrates the necessary level of expertise required to complete tasks and applies themself to continuously improve their work. Is able to review processes autonomously and make suggestions for improvements. Shares administrative best-practice across the organisation e.g. coaches others to perform tasks correctly. Applies problem-solving skills to resolve challenging or complex complaints and is a key point of contact for addressing issues.
- Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time in order to successfully meet deadlines. Positively manages the expectations of colleagues at all levels and sets a positive example for others in the workplace. Makes suggestions for improvements to working practice, showing understanding of implications beyond the immediate environment (e.g. impact on clients, suppliers, other parts of the organisation). Manages resources e.g. equipment or facilities. Organises meetings and events, takes minutes during meetings and creates action logs as appropriate. Takes responsibility for logistics e.g. travel and accommodation.
- Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report. Plans required resources to successfully deliver projects. Undertakes and leads projects as and when required.
Your training plan
- Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Worcester (WR4 9GN)
- You will receive a training plan that is specific to your qualification, with sessions that are delivered through a combination of face-to-face and remote training
- Additional training for functional skills in English and maths will be undertaken if needed
- You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions
- They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your business administration advanced apprenticeship
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English Language and literature (grade 4)
- Mathematics (grade 4)

Other requirements
● The role is advertised in multiple locations therefore if the right candidate is found earlier than the closing date the vacancy could be withdrawn sooner. ● The main office is located in Droitwich, therefore consideration needs to be taken regarding public transport to get to the office if not a car owner/driver. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:- ● Previous experience in an administration role, ideally within a commercial, finance or accounting environment. ● Ability to manage workload to deadlines ● Understanding and appreciation of operational activities ● Ability to learn and master bespoke software ● Ability to deal with large amounts of data accurately and efficiently ● Intermediate to advanced in spreadsheet usage ● Effective communication skills, verbal & written ● A proactive person with a disposition to take action preemptively to manage risk and opportunity ● Ability to manage workload to deadlines
