Summary

The apprentice will be joining a small company (20 staff). Delivering high end resin flooring and wall installations and selling products to the industry. You will be preparing goods for shipping, taking in goods for stock, managing our stock control system, making samples of our products and tinting resins. No two days will be the same.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Operate forklift safely. Licence will be obtained as part of the apprenticeship
  • Tinting products with Jiro and Corob machines
  • Preparing and packing materials for shipping
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels of materials on our online stock control system
  • Arranging collections from our haulier companies
  • Driving our vans to support our staff on site

  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

The training will take place at our Redhill warehouse: Hangar 12, Redhill Aerodrome, Kings Mill Lane, South Nutfield, RH1 5JY

More training information

  • Learners are allocated a Skills Coach to support them through the apprenticeship
  • All training is carried out at the employers location
  • Face to face teaching sessions via Teams (on site if required & based on Skills Coach availability etc.)
  • On-site learner observations carried out by the Skills Coach
  • Self-directed study via the virtual learning environment, One File
  • Monthly Learner, Line Manager & Skills Coach reviews carried out every 4 weeks to determine progress, give feedback & set tasks
  • English & maths Functional Skills support
  • End Point Assessment Support
