We are looking for an enthusiastic Machining Apprentice to join our team specializing in Cylinder Block CNC Machining for our Power Systems business unit in Daventry, United Kingdom. During your apprenticeship with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Conduct training on diverse machine tool processes, including CNC systems, through process rotations in the Blockline department to support the delivery of machined blocks for assembly
- Completion of daily Safety, Quality, and equipment checks while working to defined processes that deliver high quality products.
- Operating a range of machinery, including, Machining Centres, overhead cranes, gauging and tool setting equipment
- Ensuring your work meets required company and industry standards, taking responsibility for the quality of your output
- Working in an industry-leading environment that prioritises Safety, Product Quality, Working Conditions, and Employee Development
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Genuine enthusiasm for developing a career in your chosen field, demonstrating self-motivation and alignment with our business values
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to plan and organise time effectively
- 5 GCSEs level 4-9, including English, mathematics, and a Science/Technology subject
- Ability to work well in a team setting, showcasing effective time management and organisational skills
