Summary
We are looking for engineering apprentices to gain skills and knowledge in fastener production. This industry is complex with a huge variety of products and methods of production. You will learn and develop your skills from experienced engineering operatives to be able to machine material into parts designed by customers.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

- Learning general principles of engineering from experienced operators
- Learn about inspection methods and Quality control procedures
- Shadow colleagues on a variety of machinery
- Learn about health and safety procedures and safe systems of work
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards
- Learning about tooling management and tooling life

Other requirements
Job will involve standing and manual handling. Apprentice will be required to shadow operators and pay attention to what they are being shown. We will expect the apprentice to be hard working and show initiative and willingness to learn. Apprentice must be punctual
