What you will do in your working day
- Work everyday with patients
- Fit and remove ambulatory heart/blood pressure monitors
- ECGs with in-patients and outpatients
- Exercise testing
- Pacemaker follow ups
The training you will be getting
- You will complete a Healthcare Science Practioner (Physiological Sciences) apprenticeship
- Apprentices will achieve an accredited/approved BSc (Honours) degree in healthcare science.
- University of West of England, Bristol
- Self directed learning alongside lectures, workshops, tutorials and practical work.
- Minimal attendance at Univeristy
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
As a university trust and a leader in healthcare research we value learning, teaching and training.
On completion of the apprenticeship you will be a a qualified and competent Cardiac Physiologist/Healthcare Science Practitioner. We anticipate that there will be a band 5 role in the department for you on completion of the apprenticeship.
