What you will do in your working day

  • Survey on site using Electronic Theodlites & GPS Receivers
  • Survey within buildings using Terrestrial Laser Scanners to generate 3d point clouds
  • Survey the surrounding area using drones
  • Process the surveyed data and produce CAD drawings and models

The training you will be getting

You will attend the University of East London to study a Geospatial Mapping and Science Specialist Degree Apprenticeship, one day a week during term time.

Successful apprentices will gain a BSc/BSc(Hons) in a geospatial science subject that is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.

On successful completion, you will be offered membership to either the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors or The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Functional Skills in English and maths if required.

Things to consider
