What you will do in your working day

Your duties will include:

  • Learning and defining appropriate testing techniques to assure mission critical cyber capabilities
  • Understanding of the management of test data and applying relevant security best practices
  • Developing an understanding of the documentation of test cycles.
  • Collaboration with established Software Development Teams
  • Assisting in the running of diagnostic and system testing
  • Assisting in the presentation of information to key stakeholders
  • Contributing to effective team communication
  • Building an understanding of identification methods for redundant functions and components
  • Building knowledge of business applications and user requirements
  • Learning and practicing Industry Standard ISTQB best practices and protocols

The training you will be getting

  • Software Tester Level 4 (Higher national certificate) Apprenticeship Standard
  • ISTQB Foundation, BCS Testing Tools. Training will be delivered in College and at Quanta and at the workplace
  • Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment
