What you will do in your working day
The apprentice will be taught to:
- Use all hand tools and power tools safely
- Build tooling and moulds
- Work with a huge variety of composite and natural materials
- Work with Rhino 3D Design Software
- Problem-solve in a high intensity environment
The training you will be getting
- The qualification will be a Level 3 Certificate in Boatbuilding
- The training will be done at Brockenhurst College (Marchwood Construction & Marine Technologies) Marchwood Industrial Park, A5A, North Rd, Marchwood, Southampton SO40 4BL.
- Training will be one day a week
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- On completion of the apprenticeship, candidates can look forward to working with industry leading Ocean racing teams, building experience to manage yacht builds and travel the globe working with great people from other countries.
