What you will do in your working day

APPRENTICE ELECTRICAL / MECHANICAL FITTER

Learning how to do:

  • Mechanical and electrical fitting
  • Wiring
  • Electrical testing
  • Cleaning panels ready for test and inspection
  • General assembly works
  • Will spend time in different departments throughout the company

GENERIC DUTIES:

  • The employee will carryout any other tasks as necessary or as requested by managers
  • The company operates a flexible working environment with a multi-skilled workforce
  • The company requires the employee to continue development towards lean manufacturing
  • The employee may be required to carryout deliveries and / or attend site works
  • The employee may be required to assist with client witness testing
  • The employee will assist others to maintain a clean and safe working area
  • The employee may be required to operate a fork lift truck
  • The company will ensure the employee receives appropriate training
  • The employee is responsible to their team leader

The training you will be getting

  • Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship qualification
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
  • 39 hours per week, including 1 day at college
