What you will do in your working day
General duties including:
- Attend Doncaster College to study towards a Level 2 qualification in general welding, whilst acquiring new skills in the workplace through on the job training
- Learn both the theory, and practical application of MAG, MMA & Sub-Arc welding processes on carbon steel, as well as gain an appreciation of other welding processes and materials
- Develop skills and competence in manufacturing processes from technical drawing to completion
- Deal with ancillary plant items from a manufacturing and repair perspective
- Operate tools and other equipment involved in the engineering and manufacturing process, from drawing to completion
- Promote new ideas concerning engineering/manufacturing innovations and the development of appropriate engineering solution
- Attend any additional training in other disciplines to further develop and complement a full skill set required for the role
The training you will be getting
- Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer
- Day release
- You will undertake the Level 2 General Welder (Arc Processes) apprenticeship standard

- You will undertake both on and off the training by a team of industry qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge, and experience
