The Apprenticeship is over a 5 year period and as well as gaining a Degree and Chartership you will gain experience over a wide range of sectors and projects, including the cost planning of projects.

What you will do in your working day
To assist with the provision of a quantity surveying service to our clients.
Duties and responsibilities will include;
- Cost planning of projects
- To plan and control projects
- Effective communication ensuring all information is available for the successful completion of projects, to liaise with colleagues to ensure efficient financial control resulting in projects being cost-effective
- Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner, attending meetings where required, forming strong working relationships
- To liaise with colleagues to ensure consistency of service delivery and to identify opportunities for developing both the quality and profitability of the service
- To ensure that management has quality information on the progress of projects on a regular basis
The training you will be getting
Off-the-job training will be provided by the University College of Estate Management (UCEM). You will achieve a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying. Rather than attending formal lectures or classes, you’ll study using UCEM’s state-of-the-art online learning environment and digital library, supported by guidance from highly experienced tutors.
Upon completion of the BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and the structured workplace learning you will undertake the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence leading to registration with the RICS as a Chartered Surveyor.
On-the-job training will be provided by WT Partnership. It will comprise of work shadowing, coaching and mentoring via the completion of work tasks and involvement in current projects as appropriate.
