What you will do in your working day
- Develop knowledge, skills and competencies related to the role through completion of a BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiographer apprenticeship
- Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual
- Carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction and supervision of a registered radiographer.
- To gain clinical competence developed through continual professional development, reflective practice and maintenance of a skills portfolio relevant to the service specification
- This important role will need to work closely with the Radiology team and be expected to assist with the Radiology department assistants during times of non student placement or work
The training you will be getting
- Qualification degree: BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiographer
- Attend university with London South Bank University for study days as timetabled and agreed
- Placements to develop knowledge and skills
- Mostly delivered within the Diagnostic Radiography in the hospital but there may be some external placements for procedures not offered on site
