What you will do in your working day

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has the skills and knowledge to support, nurture and develop children in a Reception Class
  • Has experience in working within primary classroom settings
  • Has an understanding and/or experience of supporting behaviour 
  • Is energetic, positive and have a good sense of humour
  • Has a caring and compassionate nature
  • Develops positive relationships with pupils to promote pupil progress and attainment
  • Is prepared to support children with intimate care
  • Has experience of working with children with English as an Additional Language
  • Establishes supportive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents and carers
  • Has high expectations of themselves and of others, demonstrating professional conduct at all times and have the ability to contribute positively to an effective team works well with external agencies to ensure personalised provision is effective

The training you will be getting

The candidate will follow a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship standard. 

This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College - South and West. If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 2 Functional Skills in the relevant subjects.
